About me

That’s me on the left, probably embarrassing a sweet young soldier at the DMZ. He was a good sport.

I’m Alice, I’m a Kiwi (read: New Zealander) and I live in Busan, South Korea. I used to teach English until I decided I couldn’t do it anymore, and now I’m attempting to do anything but teaching, while still trying to remain in Korea. It’s as difficult as it sounds.

My interests include*:

  • watching TV
  • making sarcastic jokes
  • making sarcastic jokes while watching TV
  • going to the cinema
  • reading
  • writing

*probably in that order. Unless eating counts as an interest, in which case move that to the number one slot.

I feel like this list explains a lot about how this blog has been run so far, however I would encourage you to stick around as I attempt to make a go of a non-teaching life in Korea and actually write about it regularly. Watch me fail, or celebrate my triumph.

Let’s hope it’s the latter.
